The Talent Scout utilizes network, market analysis, business and artist relations. He/She sources and identifies artists. He/She carries out first discussions with the artists and their management and identifies their needs and share the perfect offer with the local head of sales or artist services. He/She also participates in the contract negotiation and coordinates the transfer of the artists to the project management or artist relations team.
Key Responsibilities
- Contacts and interviews potential clients and talent
- Employs creative sourcing methods to discover talent.
- Creates communications between potential talent and the talent agency, managers, and other talent scouts
- Delivers a diverse candidate slate to each recruiter his/her needs, as well as the needs of the organization as a whole.
- Increases awareness of the company’s track record of talent representation
- Liaises with potential candidates and arranges meetings with clients and agencies.
- Travels to locations of potential talent and reporting results
- Attends meetings, gigs, showcases, conferences and other events
- Reviews talent demo tapes and making recommendations for improvement or employment
- Documents processes and updating databases and Applicant Tracking Systems.
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business management, marketing or related field.
- Proven previous work experience as a Talent Scout
- Familiarity with standard hiring practices, such as scheduling interviews and onboarding processes.
- Good computer skills and proficiency in applicant tracking systems such as Bullhorn and Scout TalentRecruit.
Skills needed for this role
The Talent Scout must have the ability to be both creative and data driven as well as to manage and influence talent’s contractual decisions. He/She must have exceptional skills using technology and social media platforms to discover unknown talent and promote the talent agency. Having professional demeanor and appearance is also essential for this role.
