The Public Relation (PR) Executive creates publicity campaigns, plans special events and communicates with the media. He/She creates and maintains a positive public profile for their client, which may be an organization, business or figure. His/Her duties include designing press releases, arranging interviews and responding to press requests.
Key Responsibilities
- Promotes, manages and maintains the public’s view of the person, organization, product or service you represent
- Organizes and manages various Public Relations activities
- Manages the relationships between a company and external parties
- Works with individual clients, company executives or both to determine the exact publicity-related goals you’d like to achieve
- Works with marketing team to ensure match with the corporate brand
- Updates promotional publications
- Builds and maintains relationships with journalists, influencers and politicians
- Builds strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients and the media and answer enquiries from the media and other organisations
- Manages and updates information and engage with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related fields
- Previous work experience as a Public Relations Executive for more than 2 years
- Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills
- Superior communication and organizational skills
- business awareness and a good knowledge of current affairs
Skills needed for this role
The Public Relation (PR) Executive must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including effective writing skills. He/she must have self-confidence, drive, competence and a willingness to learn. Having excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask are also essential for this role.
