Accounts Administrators are responsible for receiving and verifying billing and requisitions for goods and services. They also ensure that accounts receivable and payable are taken care of in a timely manner. They often have to contact clients and vendors to achieve these tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Sets up new business accounts on internal systems and processed corporate actions and other adjustments
- Communicates with suppliers, customers and third-party vendors regarding invoices and payment terms
- Develops client product and underwriting files according to company standards
- Reviews incoming compliance items for conformity with governing documents
- Manages and escalates disputes and resolutions
- Reconciles all bank accounts and resolves all issues in processing the financial statements
- Uses financial software and spreadsheets
- Participates in the development of regulatory filings
- Develops and manages daily paperwork for invoicing and mailing
- Maintains efficient client services and provides support to administration staff
- Resolves outstanding issues on client accounts
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- Master or Bachelor degree in finance/accounting/business economics
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in an administration position that has included accounts
- receivable and banking processing
- Knowledge of payroll processes would be advantageous Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen
Skills needed for this role
As an Accounts Administrator, having an experience in using a large computerised general ledger system would be advantageous. They also ensure that accounts receivable and payable are taken care of in a timely manner. They often have to contact clients and vendors to achieve these tasks. He/ She must have an advanced knowledge of MS office and accounting software program.
