Business Development Executive

Business Development Executive is responsible for overseeing the process of business development within their company to promote its longevity. Their duties include working closely with other company executives and management teams, meeting with potential business partners and maintaining existing client relationships and monitoring market trends to come up with new business ventures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attracts new clients by innovating and overseeing the sales process for the business
  • Works with senior team members to identify and manage company risks that might prevent growth
  • Identifies and researches opportunities that come up in new and existing markets
  • Prepares and delivers pitches and presentations to potential new clients
  • Combines efforts and fostering a collaborative environment within the business as a whole
  • Communicates with clients to understand their needs and offer solutions to their problems
  • Creates positive, long-lasting relationships with current and potential clients

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Four years of cold calling experience; previous experience in an outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience; knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
  • Experience with lead generation and prospect management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented
  • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
  • Able to professionally and confidently communicate with C-Level Executives
  • Demonstrated and proven sales results

Skills needed for this role

Business Development Executive must have excellent analytical and time-management skills, ability to work independently or as an active member of a team. He/she can be able to professionally and confidently communicate with Corporate Level Executives and must have strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM/Salesforce experience preferred.
