The Construction Foreman is responsible for being the point of contact between the construction workers and supervisors. His main duties as a foreman are coordinating tasks for the day, creating schedules for workers, overseeing quality of the site, and managing the budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Plans, implements and manages construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
- Develops a work schedule for workers
- Supervises all the operations and workers on the job site
- Leads crews to complete specific projects
- Serves as a liaison between workers and supervisors
- Determines the time limit for the tasks and make sure it is completed on the decided time frame
- Ensures quality work and correct practices
- Assigns tasks to construction workers
- Communicates to project managers/supervisors
job Requirements/Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma required
- Proven work experience as a Construction Foreman for more than 3 years
- Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including logistics, procurement, and regulatory reporting requirements
- Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment
Skills needed for this role
The Construction Foreman must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. He must have the ability to understand drawings and blueprints and must have expert knowledge of the construction industry.
