Financial Controller

The Financial Controller manages, develops and oversees the whole financial management system in the company. He/She prepares timely, accurate monthly management accounts and other appropriate financial information for the finance director to present to the executive committee.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and opportunity forecasting
  • High-level financial reporting and analysis
  • Regulars budget consolidation
  • Understands cash flow management
  • Improves efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
  • Creates systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
  • Establishes and implements financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
  • Ensures that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Manages Billing, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters qualifications in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration or Business Law
  • Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA or CPA
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting soft wares
  • Experience with creating financial statements and general ledgers

Skills needed for this role

The Financial Controller must have the ability to motivate and lead teams and form strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. He/She must possess excellent organization and administration skills and must be an energetic and motivated personality with great multi-tasking. Having the ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
