Front Office Manager

The Front Office Manager manages office space, improves customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. He/She answers customer questions, offers customer support, guides and advises customers, keeping the front office clean and representative, following the agendas and scripts. He/She is responsible for making a good impression and improving reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participates in the selection of front office personnel
  • Schedules the front office staff
  • Creates, organizes, and maintains schedules for all employees
  • Manages and trains the concierge, night auditor and team of receptionists
  • Performs bookkeeping, reservations, and clerical duties
  • Oversees and manages support staff, receptionists, and security guard
  • Supervises workload during shifts
  • Monitors front desk and ensure all employees comply with all security procedures for visitors
  • Recruits and trains new employees
  • Evaluates the job performance of each front office employee
  • Ensures front desk is covered at all times

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • An Associate’s degree in business administration or a field related to the industry
  • More than 5 years proven experience as a Front Office Manager
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Strict adherence to company philosophy, mission statement, and sales goals
  • Thorough knowledge of customer service, office management and basic bookkeeping procedures

Skills needed for this role

The Front Office Manager must have solid customer service skills, excellent leadership, team building, and management skills. He/She must also be encouraging to team and staff and be able to mentor and lead. He/She must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Having an in-depth understanding of the industry is also essential for this role.
