Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is in charge of supervising the production process to make sure that all products meet consistent standards. His/Her duties include developing and implementing quality control tests, inspecting products at various stages and writing reports documenting production issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Determines, negotiates and agrees on in-house quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Monitors the production line and doing periodic Quality Control checks
  • Implements methods to inspect, test and evaluate products and production equipment
  • Works with operating staff to establish procedures, standards and systems
  • Carries out and monitoring testing and inspection of products and materials to ensure the finished product meets quality standards
  • Ensures that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits
  • Trains others in all aspects of the quality system and application of procedures
  • Creates standards in accordance with industry standards and customer expectations
  • Regularly analyzes quality data and suggests actions based on collected data
  • Oversees production to ensure conformity in final product processing

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • A degree in business administration, manufacturing/engineering or relevant field
  • More than 3 years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or similar role
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
  • Familiarity with company and industry quality standards and processes
  • Great team player with strong interpersonal skills

Skills needed for this role

The Quality Manager must have excellent leadership and man- management skills. He/She must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members. He/She must also have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. Having excellent organisational and follow-up skills and competence in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making are essential for this role.
