The Real Estate Agent guides clients through the buying and selling of properties. He/She helps clients place their home on the market and provide consultation on how to best prepare the home for a successful and fast sale. He/She searches for properties that match the client’s specifications like price and square footage.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaises with clients to market properties in the most appropriate manner to maximise the selling value
- Handles enquiries about properties from potential buyers
- Values properties
- Produces reports, brochures, promotional information and other written material
- Travels to properties and conducting viewings
- Negotiates the sale and letting of properties
- Administers and secures the disposal and acquisition of property and ensuring that it is completed legally
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, promotions, advertising sales, or business administration preferred
- Familiarity with office software and phone systems
- Certified real estate license is a must
- Ability to understand and present contracts
- Strong work ethic, and a pleasant and trustworthy demeanor
Skills needed for this role
The Real Estate Agent must have strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills. He/She must have the ability to work independently with excellent interpersonal skills and has knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Having excellent communication skills and ability to network to build your business is also required in this role.
