The Supervisor is responsible for managing the workflow of their team or department by assigning tasks, supporting staff, monitoring results and reporting to senior management. He/She contributes to the efficiency of their department by reviewing and improving processes and setting targets for their teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees and developing personal growth opportunities
- Oversees the day-to-day performance of employees
- Plans, monitors, and appraises job results
- Plans workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets
- Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs; evaluating new equipment and techniques
- Understands of planning, shipping, management, and inventory systems
- Manages daily schedules and track the progress of deliverables
- Prepares and presents of reports on productivity, staffing, effectiveness, and success
Job Requirements/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in management or other relevant industry field is preferred
- Professional certification in management is preferred
- Proven previous work experience as an Administrative Supervisor
- Thorough knowledge of management theory and its practical applications in the workplace
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments
- Strong understanding of business goals and standards for customer service
- Proficient using Microsoft Suite and other data entry software
