Construction Foreman

The Construction Foreman is responsible for being the point of contact between the construction workers and supervisors. His main duties as a foreman are coordinating tasks for the day, creating schedules for workers, overseeing quality of the site, and managing the budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plans, implements and manages construction tasks in accordance with priorities and goals
  • Develops a work schedule for workers
  • Supervises all the operations and workers on the job site
  • Leads crews to complete specific projects
  • Serves as a liaison between workers and supervisors
  • Determines the time limit for the tasks and make sure it is completed on the decided time frame
  • Ensures quality work and correct practices
  • Assigns tasks to construction workers
  • Communicates to project managers/supervisors

job Requirements/Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Diploma required
  • Proven work experience as a Construction Foreman for more than 3 years
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction processes, including logistics, procurement, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of construction operations and equipment

Skills needed for this role

The Construction Foreman must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines. He must have the ability to understand drawings and blueprints and must have expert knowledge of the construction industry.
