The Photographer works closely with clients to capture photos of people, places and things through the use of creativity and technical abilities in photographic equipment and photo manipulation software. He/She communicates effectively with clients regarding expectations to meet standards and deadlines of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Markets or advertises services to attract clients
- Analyzes and plan the composition of photographs
- Uses various photographic techniques and lighting equipment
- Captures subjects in professional-quality photographs
- Enhances the subject’s appearance with natural or artificial light
- Uses photo-enhancing software
- Maintains a digital portfolio to demonstrate their work
- Archives and manages imagery
- Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in photography art preferred
- Detailed knowledge of photography art and lighting
- Strong creative presence and artistic flair
- Customer focus with a desire to over deliver on quality
- Able to follow instructions clearly to achieve desired results
- Able to stand and move around for long periods at a time
- Flexible to travel to locations as required of the job
- Ability to manage a schedule.
- Strong Portfolio of work.
Skills needed for this role
The Photographer must have excellent interpersonal skills, proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, and strong communication skills. Having basic social media skills including Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, Pinterest, and YouTube is also essential for this role.
